We are a multi ethnic, multi cultural and sexually diverse non profit creative literary arts program ans retreat opportunity, devoted to women in need of time space balance to foster and support the literary arts. We believe literary creativity flows into all avenues of art, life, science, politic and humanity. It is good to write. It is productive to write creativity. It is an honor to offer an opportunity via tranquil housing in that pursuit.
TWR.O Screenwriting Competition, celebrating the outstanding contributions of women who write offers a Cash Prize and Writing materials from INKTIP. Proceeds from the TheWrite Room Screenplay competition help fund the WriteRoom Residency/Scholarship Program 2017 – 18. We seek coporate and private fiscal sponsorship to achieve our goals. Thank you
TheWriteRoom.Org /Residency/New Orleans – Info provides women and girl writers with a stretch of uninterrupted time 21 days – for their work while immersing in the opportunity to live in semi-solitude close to the natural world. In addition to that rare but essential commodity for a writer—quiet space away from jobs, children, and other responsibilities’ for that less tangible but valuable : the validation and encouragement necessary to embark upon or sustain a writing project. This Program is at no cost to the Residentee, however airfare is not included at this time.

TheWriteRoom.Org /HEADQUARTERS are located in Miami Beach Florida. Our NonProfit arm TheWriteRoom.Org/Residency ; a writing retreat for women: is located in here in New Orleans.
The writers in residence will enjoy a unique opportunity to have non competitive quiet time in with food and lodging, while pursuing their creative writing endeavors. Whether writing in your personal journal or writing for publication this time in this space in the world is mentoring you. Private and or Corporate Sponsors make a donation contribution that support one writer for a 21 day period here in New Orleans or with housing in her area if travel is not viable.
