The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS)

NOFS

The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS) is a nonprofit org that exhibits film year-round and develops the newest crop of Southern filmmaking talent. Our flagship event is the New Orleans Film Festival (NOFF), featuring 150+ films, panels, networking opportunities and special events. Join us in-person this October 23 – 27 and virtually until November 2!

We also have a robust slate of year-round programs, including:

  • Taking place in the Spring, our French Film Festival is one of the longest-running international language festivals in the United States.

  • The Southern Producers Lab offers emerging Southern producers access to mentorship, industry insights, and resources in order to help shape Southern storytelling on a global scale.

  • Our Emerging Voices Mentorship pairs talented Southern filmmakers of color with experienced mentors who provide guidance, industry knowledge, and inspiration.

  • Our increasingly popular South Pitch Competition takes place during NOFF each year, in which filmmakers pitch their projects to industry professionals, receive feedback, and compete for funding and support in front of a live audience.

We’re always excited to increase access to our programming and value working with various Community Partners year-round and during our festivals. Come chat to us to learn more and see how we could work together in the future. Vive le cinéma!
