Louisiana Creole Research Association

Louisiana Creole Research Association (LA Creole) advances family research, provides education and celebrates Creole culture by sponsoring programs for its members and the general public throughout the year.  Mrs. Leah Lange Chase, a friend of LA Creole, celebrated Creole culture throughout her life.  She became a legend and was honored in 2008 as the second recipient of LA Creole’s Founder Award for her contributions to the community.  In 2010 Mrs. Chase participated as a guest presenter in our annual conference “Creole Louisiana: Cultural and Family Ties Along Back Roads and Waterways” lighting up the room with her stories of growing up in rural Louisiana.  LA Creole is a repository of family stories, history and culture and honors the legacy of Creoles of Color of Louisiana.

Join us on Saturday, October 26th for our 15th annual conference at Xavier University: “Still Picturing Creole New Orleans: The Legacy of Arthur P. Bedou.”
