Krewe de Voix is a small vocal ensemble that specializes in the sound and music of the 16th and 17th centuries while exploring great choral music of every era. A group of 12-16 of the best ensemble musicians in New Orleans, Krewe de Voix is embarking on our 3rd season with a program of English Renaissance Christmas Music, a revival of the Gambit Award winning “Book of Saints” with Marigny Opera Ballet, and a production of Buxtehude’s 7-cantata cycle “Jesu Membra Nostri” in the Spring. Last season saw our second annual Christmas concert featuring the motets of Monteverdi and a recreation of sacred music from French Baroque New Orleans.
