The Council of French Societies is an umbrella non-profit that promotes its members’ activities through its internet presence and annual gatherings.
We open the Bastille Day events by laying a wreath at the base of the Joan of Arc statue on July 14th. We (of course) provide free cake afterwards!
We welcome and say farewell to the French Consul General of France in Louisiana.
We organize the only French Oratory Contest for High School students of French. We give away cash prizes for 21 categories plus the winning school teachers.
