Recognized for its fresh approach and “youthful, rule-bending style” (Times-Picayune), Birdfoot Festival believes that the dynamic musical culture of New Orleans— intimate music venues with casual atmospheres yet an engaged listening culture—has something to offer that the future of chamber music needs.

Birdfoot provides time and space for artists to do their best work, and then brings musicians and audiences together to share meaningful musical experiences. Birdfoot presents performances by world-class musicians in intimate spaces so that you can be near the action.

After a pandemic-related hiatus, Birdfoot Festival will be back in spring 2023 with a season that reaches beyond the concert hall to present a festival of music-making entwined with the natural world.

At the heart of Birdfoot 2023 is a musical pilgrimage that celebrates the mythic dimension of nature, bears witness to environmental injustices, and meditates on our place in the world. Birdfoot invites you to join us on this journey of musical contemplation.
