The New Orleans Musicians Clinic & Assistance Foundation’s mission is to be a catalyst for improving the health of musicians while using music-as-medicine to improve the health of the community. What that means is touching actual people and not treating musicians as a monolith or an “industry”. We help folks navigate the insurance marketplace, apply for housing, food assistance & other social resources, provide them with free or discounted medical, dental & mental health services and so much more. Additionally, we currently have private & grant funding to provide licensed music therapy to oncology patients, wind & brass instrument cleanings, and exploring the power of live music in combating loneliness & isolation in our senior communities.
